Actually portals are able to be viewed and edited (though it's tricky to do), you need to click the Portals Off to make it say Portals On. This modification was done by action blocks, to make it so you die if you fall off Cradle. The action blocks do also work in multiplayer, though not all commands do.

How does this work? I thought portals didnt work in multiplayer. By the way, Im sure the first relees of the setup editor 2 had big circles in it called portals. I remember train with them at the end and cradel with one on the bottom. However I havnt seen them when I was playing around a while back? Trev
