Files - Solo Levels - Standoff

DateNovember 21, 2017
CategorySolo Levels
LevelSurface 1
DescriptionCreated by Pheonarx.

This is my fourth level in the story arch, decided to sit back for a few weeks and work on a level that's both fun and difficult.
It's includes voice callouts from gaurds, gun jamming, and you can hear your own footsteps (thanks Carn)
This follows the storyline, loosely, of my previous levels. Probably some bugs, like usual, but all will be fixed as time goes by.

Level and Setup : Pheonarx

Special Thanks/Credits:
-Carnivorous : helped me out in fixing my action blocks, giving me those lucious footsteps, and giving me tips on how to do stuff.

-EntropicDecayGaming : fun videos to watch, and provided voice acting for some of the characters.

-Zomboman : face for the evil boss bad guy, voiced him and other guards.

-Zoinkity : for the Spectrum Emulation patch and Expansion Pak patch.

-Luke : love ya xD

-Graslu : n64 testing and feedback. (There's a bug with the midi, if you stay in your watch too long on n64 it may crash, trying to fix)

To install just apply the xdelta patch in the setup editor, like usual.

Thanks for the support, and the criticism, once again! Same as before, try using the PP7 or go all out with the dual ZMG's or hose them down with the AR33.

Pheonarx really like your levels and they are a nightmare with infinite guards spawning behind you every second keep up the good work and hope to see more from you.

@Starwind Amada, all the voices in this mission are custom (voice by people like entropic decay gaming).
Pheonarx probably can give more information on this topic though.

Does this have original voice acting or is it clips from PD? I ask because I have a VO booth if you make more levels. Id love to voice some guards.

This is so great! I found your easter egg btw

You need to download the original version of GoldenEye 007, but in the format .z64. There are three known formats: .n64 .z64 and .v64. But the format that best suits the Hacks Roms is the .z64. If you still are having problems, I advise you to download an emulator especially for Goldeneye, which is called Carnivorous Edition.

I am using .rom. Does it really matter? I thought it was just three letters typed into the file name. Is it truly a different format I need to change or do I just rename the file?

You are not getting to play, because you are probably using the format .n64 of goldeneye. The right format to apply the patches is the .z64 of goldeneye.

I simply cannot get this to run. The emulators keep crashing. This is the first patch I've ever applied that resulted in a GE rom that wouldn't boot. I've changed all the settings to the ones listed in the FAQ. Any ideas?

Looks great! It has issues with cavern walls. Clipping would be to rework because guards can shoot thoughout some walls and some walls you pass into you can see changing textures.

Great level! Simple yet elegant level design. Has the familiarity of the bunker levels while being totally unique.

Congratulations for his dedication. Congratulations on the good cheer in doing a mission well done! I'm your fan! Don't let GoldenEye die! Difficulty very well hit the jackpot.

Simply amazing! Dude you are simply fantastic! I like too much of your missions. And I loved this mission. You too capricious . You simply put things that I have never seen in GoldenEye. As for example the sound of the sole of the foot when 007 walks. The cutscenes interactive. And even the voice of the guards. The guards speaks in this mission, this is amazing! And even though the map is completely new. The mission ran perfectly on my emulator. The music of mission that is new also. The mission is difficult, but also very challenging and enjoyable. Perfect work!
