Super Mario Land for a single gamer

The Nintendo development team never rests on their laurels. Following the successful release of Super Mario Bros. and Super Mario World, it was decided to come up with something new.

Super Mario Land is the first game featuring smart plumber Mario and his friends that is adapted for the small display of a Game Boy-type portable game console.

The style feature of Super Mario Land is the platforming gameplay – the characters climb stairs, jump from a platform to platform, and that’s why it is called “the platformer”.

In this part the challenge is to go through 12 levels with increasing difficulty, jump from a platform to platform, dodge blows, bypass traps and plunge enemies into dust.

There are several episodes in the “shoot’em up” format, as they say today, – a shooter.

This version was released in 1989, and twenty years later, in 2011, it was reissued in a modern 3D format for the portable game system M Nintendo 3DS.

According to the plot of Super Mario Land the main character travels to the country of Sarasaland on a noble mission to rescue the beautiful princess Daisy from the clutches of an insidious and evil alien named Tatangi.

On one of the levels Mario uses a combat submarine, and on the other, a fighter. These are the episodes where the gamer is allowed to shoot plenty of cannons and machine guns.

Jumping on the platforms is fraught with numerous cunning traps – Mario has to act smartly. It is enough to stay on the platform for an extra second and it explodes and you have to start from the beginning.

Bonus – after reaching the specified levels the participant does not have to return to the very beginning, you can choose any level you like.

Super Mario Land has earned the best reviews from the critics.
