Goldeneye 007 - CS MAP PACK
Version 1.2

Version History

Goldeneye Setup Editor, to patch your ROM, found here:

A GoldenEye 007 (U) [!] ROM

The .XDELTA file in this .ZIP

A N64 emulator to play it.

This pack will replace 10 of the original multi player maps with
modified versions of some Counter-Strike classics.

Use the Goldeneye Setup Editor to patch the normal .ROM with the .XDELTA file. Start and enjoy.

Small holes in the world geometry. There aren't many but they exist. They should not affect your experience at all, my bug testers didn't even notice them.

No shadows. This is not a bug, but it's not very pretty. When I can find a satisfactory way to color the vertices/apply shadows, I will.

Scrunched textures. The editor is to blame here, right now there's nothing to do about it.

Texture errors. In some of the maps, there is chance that you run out of texture memory. That will result in some missing textures on your guns/hands, nothing major.

No sky. The graphic plug-in's fault. If your computer is up for it, download a more demanding plugin that will show everything correctly. I recommend Glide64 Napalm: http://glide64.emuxhaven.net/

The final level slot can not be accessed. An eleventh map was not finalized for the pack, thus it remains empty. There's nothing secret or hidden here, so don't bother trying to beat Aztec on 007 with max stats while only using your slapper, attempting to unlock a bonus map. There is none. Trust me.

Bad placement of guns? Look at the mini maps and create your own with this tool:

Version 1.1

- Customized intro logos, which originally crashed on console, have been edited
to display correctly. There is still an issue with the "GoldenEye CS Pack" logo,
where if you watch the entire Bond barrel walk sequence, it won't appear on screen.

- An erroneous clipping tile in the level Glock was corrected to allow travel on
the large ramp.

- Textures were setup to use hit types, which better represent the material types.

Version 1.2

- Updated memory allocations of each map.

- Deleted a bad spawn point in the Dust2Long level.

- Corrected some texturing issues in multiple maps.

- Modified the pools in Poolday for added realism.

- Edited one weapon pickup ID in the Aim map.

- Relinked the clipping and object pads.

- Removed collisions flag from body armour.

- Prevented access from final level slot.

- Changed the arm type to Jungle (bare skin).

Version 1.0: 12-07-2008
Version 1.1: 08-25-2013
Version 1.2: 04-06-2018

Monkeyface, that is me, I ported the original maps and spent countless hours getting
everything to work...

The only reason that I don't include the original creators is because I don't know
their names. Every other version spells out different author.

VERY SPECIAL THANKS goes out to SubDrag, for helping me a great deal with this project.

ADDITIONAL THANKS to Wreck, for fixing the logos for console play, editing textures to
use hit types, correcting a clipping error in Glock, adjusting textures in some maps,
removing a bad spawn point in Dust2Long, and updating setup files and clipping.

Even more special thanks goes out to the team behind the Goldeneye Setup Editor, this
project would literally not exist without your program.

The people over at shootersforever.com, thanks for helping me and being a very creative

i just tried patching my current version of goldeneyeX with the classic nitendo maps. it didn't work cause its not the original goldeneye rom. so can someone tell me if its possible to add/patch these map packs to my current goldeneyeX version or am i gonna have to keep separate patched versions of goldeneye in order to play certain add'ons?

Confirmed working with Everdrive 64. Could not patch 1.1 version with Delta Patcher Lite, but patching through GESE worked with no problems.

At first, I didn't get it to work. Apparently, I was too blind to see the xdelta file included in the download, so I patched the IPS (which is the 1.0 version)and couldn't figure out what was wrong. Make sure you don't do the same stupid mistake as me!

The game occasionally crashed when starting a MP game (not chosing Crash), but it was possible to just reboot the N64 and get it to work. I think it crashed 2 times in 20 tries or so. Not much of a problem.

Awesome maps. Hope you make more CS levels - someday!

Can you try again? It should get past logos now, Aim loaded for me at least.

Posted by Aye Aye ROn November 19, 2013 9:42 pm
i got it working somehow, tried the aim map and it worked fine, started the dustlong map and it crashed

Posted by SubDrag November 17, 2013 12:16 pm
Can you try the other one just to be sure? Maybe I called it wrong name.

Posted by Aye Aye ROn November 16, 2013 1:45 pm
Yea, I applied the CSPATCHrevised.xdelta

Posted by SubDrag November 15, 2013 4:50 pm
Did you load CSPackRevised? That is the only working console.

Posted by Aye Aye ROn November 15, 2013 4:45 pm
This is still not working on my ever drive either, I the have the expansion pack inserted. It crashes right on start up. Golden X works perfect tho.

Posted by 007 December 3, 2009 5:39 pm
The stupid thing won't download! It goes through the motions but then it won't open!

Posted by monkeyface May 16, 2009 3:24 pm
Yes, I am. Take a look at the forum and check out the "Goldfinger patch" thread.

Posted by Shrinker March 15, 2009 1:13 pm
Sweet map pack monkeyface are u going to make more with the hammer?

Posted by Jesus_Soldier March 3, 2009 4:26 am
Awesome!!! You're the man !!

Posted by ? December 18, 2008 11:08 pm
Nevermind, found the FAQ. Didn't really help me, though.

Posted by ? December 18, 2008 11:00 pm
FAQ? You mean like the help files? It says 'help file missing'

Posted by monkeyface December 18, 2008 10:58 am
Are you sure that you've done everything that's written in the FAQ? I'm not really qualified to answer that question, I have my own fair share of problems getting everything to work with the GE-editor...

Posted by ? December 17, 2008 10:26 pm
Goldeneye Setup Editor just closes when I try to open a ROM. Any ROM. But GEwse doesn't work either! Do you know of any GS templates?

Posted by ? December 17, 2008 10:06 pm
No, I downloaded it, I just can't open it.

Posted by monkeyface December 17, 2008 11:07 am
It shouldn't be, I downloaded it just now. On the other hand, I don't know how to make it work! I've always used the Goldeneye Setup Editor to create those sorts of things. It's really intuitive, and you don't have to use any codes or gamesharks or anything. You just modify the rom how you want it. Open the editor, tools, 21990 modifications, choose rom (the one you want to modify, obviously, in this case the CS-pack.rom,) multiplayer, and the edit the options below WEAPON SET.

*malicious. Anyone?

Posted by ? December 16, 2008 3:27 pm
Okay, good. I've been using Jabo's D3D8 for a long time now. And, one last problem. Goldeneye Weapon Set Editor doesn't work either >.< It says there's a malicius code in it. Halp plz?

Posted by monkeyface December 16, 2008 2:50 pm
THAT, however, is something I can't do anything about. It's hardware related. Try to download a more widely used plug-in such as Jabo3D8 or 6. Download it here: http://www.goldeneyeonline.com Glide64 is a demanding plug-in, and it only works with 3dfx cards.

Posted by monkeyface December 16, 2008 2:46 pm
No trouble at all. My concern is that those people who want to try this out, should get all the help they need, as it isn't exactly the most obvious process out there.

Posted by ? December 16, 2008 2:43 pm
Okay, I'm back. Glide64 doesn't work! The error: 'Project64.exe has encountered a problem and needs to close. We are sorry for the incovenience.' Comp specs: ACPI Uniprocessor PC Video specs: I believe Nvida Geforce I don't know why it wouldn't work. Napalm doesn't work, no Glide64 plugins work!

Posted by ? December 16, 2008 2:16 pm
Yeah, it was down for me yesterday...I'm sorry for wasting your guys' time, you must think I'm an idiot. But, it's a fantastic map pack!

Posted by monkeyface December 16, 2008 12:57 pm
http://glide64.emuxhaven.net/ works for me.

Posted by ? December 16, 2008 2:02 am
Argh >.< I'm stupid. Do you know where I can get Glide64 Napalm? Emuxhaven seems to be down...

Posted by SubDrag December 15, 2008 3:29 am
Same rar, different version inside.

Posted by ? December 15, 2008 1:35 am
Sorry for the triple-comment, but the .rar's the same!

Posted by ? December 15, 2008 1:32 am
Oh, and I'm using XP SP3 and I did all of that.

Posted by ? December 15, 2008 1:31 am
Y'know, right after I posted that, it started working. I guess it just takes like 5 minutes. My comp's really slow...

Posted by SubDrag December 14, 2008 11:46 pm
It's now fixed, regrab it everyone.

Posted by monkeyface December 14, 2008 10:33 pm
Thank you, yes, I uploaded the wrong file. It should work as soon as Subdrag updates the .rar. To ?, are you using Vista? Have you downloaded the VS2008 x86 Redistributable package and DirectX 9.0c?

Posted by ? December 14, 2008 3:40 pm
Thank you, SubDrag. Oh, by the way, I'm having problems with Goldeneditor, every time I go to Visual Editor, after loading a level, it crashes. Any ideas?

Posted by SubDrag December 14, 2008 3:37 pm
Ack!! Guys you're right. Monkeyface sent me the wrong update patch. I reuploaded old version to play in meantime.

Posted by ? December 14, 2008 2:21 pm

Posted by ? December 14, 2008 2:20 pm
Alas, I to am getting that. I can't think of anything, but I'm going to try Goldeneye 007 (E) [!](the European good dump) Monkeyface, please help :)

Posted by Maraakate December 14, 2008 8:19 am
for some reason everytime I apply this patch it just spits out a regular (U) [!] dump. I'm not use a byteswapped ROM. I tested this with smartips and ge setup and so has ryanoasis. Any tips?

Posted by monkeyface December 12, 2008 3:06 pm
Octan, I suggest you read this: http://www.shootersforever.com/forums_message_boards/viewtopic.php?t=2634 . It's real easy once you get it, hopefully you'll create something and get it up here! Thank you Scorpion!

Posted by Octan Baron December 11, 2008 2:18 pm
How do you use the Hammer Editor?

Posted by Skorpion December 11, 2008 7:37 am
Very wonderful and well done map pack :)

Posted by monkeyface December 11, 2008 12:00 am
It's a place holder. The map does what its name is. It crashes/freezes. I couldn't make the original work (which wasn't very much of a map anyways, even compared to the smaller maps in this pack.)

Posted by Octan Baron December 9, 2008 5:12 pm
Why is there a level called CRASH, i select it and it freezes?

Posted by monkeyface December 9, 2008 12:59 pm
No, .rar is a different format. If you download WinRAR and open the file, you will see that it's like a directory, and that there are several files inside of that directory. ONE of them is the .ips file, the rest are pictures and a readme file.

Posted by Octan Baron December 9, 2008 12:33 pm
So the .rar file is the IPS Patch?

Posted by monkeyface December 9, 2008 12:06 pm
Octan Baron, there are more files in the archive than the .ips file. There are 3 preview pictures, 10 minimaps and a readme file. Plus, by archiving the files I reduced the download size with at least half a MB. That's got to count for something. If you can't open the .rar, download WinRAR; http://www.rarlab.com/

Posted by Octan Baron December 9, 2008 11:29 am
Why is the file .rar? Should'nt it be an IPS Patch?

Posted by ryanoasis December 9, 2008 4:04 am
Masterpiece compilation. I cannot wait to play these (especially online).

Posted by SubDrag December 9, 2008 4:02 am
Even the intro swirling GoldenEye logo is modded

Posted by SubDrag December 9, 2008 4:01 am
This map pack blows me away.
